Commercial Intent

Are the queries this property reaches attached to money? Decision-stage demand, comparison and pricing coverage, and query-to-page fit.

Commercial intent is the dimension that most often explains why two properties with identical traffic are worth completely different amounts. It is read from query data rather than from traffic totals, and the useful measures are shares rather than counts, because a rising count with a falling share is what content expansion produces if nobody is watching.

Signals (4)

Intent-Carrying Impression Share

The share of impressions and clicks sitting on queries attached to a decision, rather than the count.

Measured once Search Console has query data. Intent classification is inference, and it holds in aggregate rather than per query.

Comparison Query Coverage

Whether the property appears for the "X versus Y" and "alternatives to X" queries in its subject.

Measured. Coverage can be checked before any search data exists.

Pricing Query Coverage

Whether the property answers cost and pricing questions in its subject, at all.

Measured as coverage now, as performance once data exists.

Query to Page Fit

Whether the page ranking for a query is the page you would have chosen for it.

Measured once query-page data exists.
