Comparison Query Coverage
Comparison queries are where a decision is actively being made, and they are consistently the worst-served content type in most categories.
- Measures
- Presence and position on comparison and alternatives queries within the property's subject.
- Data Source
- Search Console query data, plus the published coverage inventory.
- Indicates
- Whether the property reaches people at the point of choosing, rather than only at the point of learning.
- What Moves It
- Actually publishing genuine comparisons, including the cases where the honest answer favours somebody else.
- Does Not Prove
- That the comparison is trusted or acted on. Appearing is not convincing.
- Status
- Measured. Coverage can be checked before any search data exists.
Most comparison content is thin because doing it properly means being specific enough to be wrong in public. That is precisely why the queries stay underserved, and why they are worth the work.
